Last week, Shannon Clements, chairman of the International Selection Committee, delivered his report to the executive committee, who ratified it at our committee meeting last Saturday. It is by far the best selection committee report we have ever published. Not only does the report state who has been selected for particular events, it also explains why some members were not selected.
In particular, I would have liked John Courtney and Karina Kruk to have been selected to play on our Glorney and Jessie Gilbert teams, but due to our selection rules they can't. The report explains precisely why they were not picked. Our selection rules are there to provide a fair and transparent process to all our members, regardless of the likes and dislikes of the chairman. This is how it should be.
The following events are included:
- Glorney Cup Junior Dublin, Ireland 19/07/11 22/07/11
- Jessica Gilbert Memorial Cup Junior Dublin, Ireland 19/07/11 22/07/11

We will be contacting the players concerned in the next few days, but if you have been selected, please email the secretary, with your decision to play or not in the above events.
The committee would publicly like to thank Shannon and his fellow selectors and acknowledge their hard work and attention to detail that has gone into producing this report.
