Please note the date for this event for teams of junior players has been changed. It will now take place in the Artane Beaumont Family Recreation Centre on Sunday 24th May 2026. Revised details are reflected on the Events Calendar Entry.

2026 Irish Junior Championsips will be held in Ballicollig, Cork from the 10th to the 12th of April 2026.

• 1st Cork Junior U10 Chess Championship (Rapid) for the Joe Brown Trophy
• 1st Cork Junior Chess Open Championship (U14, U19) for the Maurice J. Coveney, and Philip Short Trophy
• 1st Cork Junior Chess Girls Championship (U19 Girls only) for Kate Belinda Finn Trophy
