Report of the Junior Selection Committee 14st June 2013
The ICU junior selection committee (JSC) for 2012-13 comprises John McKenna (Chairperson), Darko Polimac and Brendan Lyons.
The committee has been requested by the ICU Executive to select Juniors to compete in the following tournament:
- European Union Youth Chess Championships, Mureck, Austria, July 30th to August 8th 2013
The selection is based on the final May ratings as of 31st May 2013.
The age categories for EU Youths have been changed this year to Under 9 to Under 15. The deadline for entry to EU Youth Championships is June 28th.
Juniors who are going to this event need to be entered soon and therefore the committee would like to hear from Juniors who are interested in playing in EU Youth Chess Championships by Friday 21st June.
