A reminder that the Galway Chess Congress is taking place this coming weekend: Friday 12th to Sunday 14th October, in the Salthill Hotel. Full details. So far the Masters contains two GMs (one from Ireland, one from Romania) and 3 IMs (from Ireland, Italy, and the US), plus the usual contingent of strong Irish players; there are also a good number of entrants in the Major (1200-1800) and Minors (under 1200) but we would like more!
