The Chess School Polimac Christmas Blitz was held December 21st. It was a double round robin and Kilkenny FM Ryan Griffiths won the tournament. Final standing: 1st FM Ryan Griffiths, 2nd Darko Polimac, 3rd John Courtney, 4th Eoin Minock. Next year Kilkenny chess coach Darko Polimac will invite 10 top Kilkenny players. Eoin Minock, many times Irish junior champion, won the Kilkenny Chess Club Christmas tournament.
