There are less than seven days to the start of the 32nd Drogheda Congress. The event was the brainchild of the late Andrew Thomson who took the Congress with him from Wexford when he relocated to Drogheda in 1998. With over 100 entries confirmed it will be the biggest field in the history of the Congress, reflecting the ever- increase global interest in chess. The action kicks off on Saturday 3rd June in St. Mary’s Parish Primary School, Bryanstown Crossroute, Drogheda, which is a 10-minute walk from Drogheda rail station and a 5-minute walk from the nearest bus stop.
