Report Sun 4/6/23
Thomson Masters: The first day of the Thomson had a strong showing from some of the younger players, with Lara Putar and Jacob Flynn finishing undefeated ahead of a field comprising of 2 former Irish champions, among others.
O'Boyle Championship: The Championship, named after local chess celebrity Enda O'Boyle was led at the end of the first day by Donal O'Boyle among others. It remains to be seen if his aggressive style will be too much for the rest.
Fox Major: After the first day, the Fox remains a crowded fight at the top, with 5 players still on 2 out of 2.
Murray Challengers: By far the most crowded field, with over 60 players, this will be a chance for many young and new faces to make a mark on the Irish tournament scene, or enjoy their first tournament!
