The AGM of the Leinster Chess Union (LCU) will be held in he United Arts Club, 3 Upper Fitzwilliam Street Dublin 2 (same location as last year) at 11AM on Saturday 26th of June 2010.

The date has been changed from Mid-Week to a weekend slot in order to better facilitate regional clubs. It is important that all clubs who participate in the Leinster Leagues do us the courtesy of sending a representative to the AGM. Important rule changes which influence the Leagues will be decided at this meeting and the participation of all clubs would be greatly appreciated.

All motions for consideration at this meeting must be forwarded to the Secretary no later than Saturday 5th of June 2010. Please forward Motions to . In the Week before the AGM the list of submitted motions will be circulated and we would encourage all clubs to have considered their position on these before the AGM.

With the exception of the Tournament Controller Rory Delaney all members of the present committee have put themselves forward for re-election.

Rory will be stepping down as he intends to spend some time out of the country. I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of the committee to thank him for his excellent work in his years as Tournament Controller.

While clubs are free to put candidates forward for any position will would like clubs to consider nominations to the position of Tournament Controller whose chief responsibilities are organising the following tournaments:

• Brannigan Cup
• Killane Shield
• William Brennan trophy
