The Drogheda June Congress 2010 took place over the bank holiday weekend. Players form all over took place with Juan Campos (Spain), Erkki Korhonen (Finland) and Stefan Hedler (Germany) flying in especially for the event.

Gentleman John Delaney (pictured right) was outright winner with a max 5/5 and a very popular one at that. His clash with last years winner Gerry O'Connell was a highlight in which John played very well to pip Gerry in a tight match. Drogheda's unique style has players placed into groups of 6 depending on rating in an all play all system. There was also a Swiss involving 10 players. This provides for close and competitive games all through the tournament. In fact so tight that John Delaney was the only player from the weekend to score max points!

• Group D winner was Philip Foenander from Limerick
• Group E winner was Alan Dempster from Aer Lingus
• Group F joint winners were Ann Coughlan from Cork and Stephen Danaher from Shannon
• Group G joint winners were James Danaher from Shannon and Ross Byrne Gonzaga
• Group H joint winners were Austin Blake from Naomh Barrog and John Lucey from Dungarvan
