The league is open to all members of the ICU with free entry to members of Cork Chess Club.

The purpose of this new tournament is to provide an opportunity for players young and old to get an introduction to over the board competition in classical time control and work towards establishing their ICU rating.

It will be played over 7 Friday evenings during Cork Chess Clubs regular sessions.

Non-members are free to also participate in friendly/casual games in the club along with playing their league game.
Non-members of Cork Chess Club will have the entry fee credited against membership fees if they join during the year. (€110 adult , €60 for juniors/students/unwaged - https://www.corkchess.ie/membership.html)

All games in each round must be played by the dates above and will be submitted to ICU for rating following each round

Games can be played at different times by agreement of players
