The following table lists the positions in the ICU executive, their 2006-7 holders and the nominations or re-elections proposed for 2007-8. There is currently an urgent need for volunteers, particularly for the vital posts of Secretary, Treasurer and Membership Officer.

- If any elected member of the executive, in the opinion of the majority of the other members of the ICU Excutive, shall not have fulfilled his or her duties, that member shall, at the discretion of the executive, be deprived of their position.

- For dicussion: should a Code of Ethics for Chessplayers be established by the ICU executive?

- Players should not be exluded from playing in ICU tournaments or leagues solely on the basis of the geographical area in which they live.

- Only an authorised person or persons with permission from the tournament director and the players involved may take photographs, film or record players at any chess event. No photographs, films or recordings should be made of players aged under 18 years without the prior consent of a parent or legal guardian.
