The World Mind Sports Games, including chess, will take place in Beijing, China, 3-18 October. The organisers are offering FREE travel and FREE accommodation to players nominated by their federations. There are various team and individual competitions, all at either rapid or blitz time controls. Entry fees are payable, but are not too deadly. Further details are available here and here.
