The Irish Chess Union

The Drogheda June Congress took place over the weekend in glorious sunshine. The Boyne Valley Hotel was a perfect venue where games took place outside in the sun as well as indoors. Gordon Freeman and Gerard O'Connell were joint winners of the top section sharing the Andrew Thomson Trophy. Drogheda Chess Club would like to thank all those who participated, apologise for the delay in starting time on Saturday morning and promise to have all hiccups sorted for next year's event.
