They run leagues at primary, U14, U16 and U19 level. These act as the Leinster heats for the official Irish Schools Championship hosted by the Irish Chess Union.
The LSCA was founded in 1942, and has been hosting the Leinster Junior Championships since then. The 2012 Leinster Junior Championships are taking place January 7-8 and Jan 14-15 at the Stillorgan Park Hotel. This year U10 and U11 events are being added.
