A new site, Irish Schools Chess Online, has been launched. The site is French run (by a collaboration between Rennes University and the local education authority) but FIDE delegate Kevin O'Connell saw an opportunity for Irish schools and he and junior officer Darko Polimac have been instrumental in setting up an Irish portal on the site. Irish children will be able to play each other online or play children from other countries and the site will organise competitions.
