For personal reasons, the secretary, Bryan Tobin, has resigned. I (chairman) would like to thank him for the work that he accomplished in the short time he was in office. In particular, I would like to thank him for surveying over 500 members on the Irish Championships. He received over 100 replies, which we are now analysing.
His successor will be appointed by the executive, according to Article 9.6 of the constitution. The key section states: [...]the incoming Executive will have the power to nominate a member of the Union to carry out these duties. This power shall also apply in the event of casual vacancies arising over the course of a year.
