10 teams of junior players competed for the Mick Germaine Cup on Saturday 28th September 2013 in the Ierne Sports and Social Club, the home of the Elm Mount Chess Club. Ratoath emerged as the winners after a six round event finishing on 21 points out of a possible 24 just a half point ahead of the Enniscorthy Kings in second place, with Elm Mount Kings in third place on 13½ points.
